Virus Removal Tools
So now you have the Trojan.Multifaker infection on your computer…what can you do?
I have the answers for you right here, right now, and it won’t cost you a dime! That rocks!
Follow these steps and your computer should be back to normal again:
1. Download and install Free AVG 2011 from http://free.avg.com. Make sure you get the FREE version, and it will ask you once more once it begins to install whether you want the free version or trial. Again, just click the free version, and wait for the installation to finish. Then open the application and make sure it is updated.
2. Download and install MalwareBytes from http://malwarebytes.org. Again, make sure you select the free version, and wait for it to download and then install it as well.
3. Run a COMPLETE SYSTEM SCAN with AVG. Any threats that popup during the scan should give you an option as to what to do with them such as quarantine, etc. Select quarantine and move right along. Note: It is possible that you have other PC infections besides the Trojan.Multifaker, so don’t be alarmed. AVG is here to solve those problems too 
4. Once AVG is completely finished, run a COMPLETE SYSTEM SCAN with MalwareBytes. It will produce a report once it has finished and give you options as to what to do next.
Once both tools are completely finished and you’ve dealt with any threats or infections that have been found, you should be good to go. Sit back and enjoy the money you saved by doing it yourself, and also by getting great free software.
